Lalbagh is a beautiful place to visit in Bangalore. Its full of greenery and flowers. The Glass House is in the necklace of Bangalore’s gardens, it is very famous for its artistic structure.

Plein air painting in Lalbagh

Last Sunday early morning I went to Lal bagh botanical garden with my husband and my sister. We usually go there in weekends. They do morning walking/jogging, I do sketching/painting. Every time I was disappointed. I was so confused what to do what not to do. This time after searching for some time I found this small bridge with bambo trees.  I sat there and did one small sketch, n then did this painting. And yes water was not there, I included in my painting  :-) For the first time I like the outdoor painting output and the experience also.

I was planning from long time to paint this. two fish in small aquarium. I was little nervous to try painting on glass subjects. But after doing "Red Wine" painting I got more confident on me to try such kind of subjects. So thought of doing it and here is the result.

When I decided to do this one, I was little afraid, will be able to finish it or not.. Many times I left the painting in the middle. But while painting this one I did not realize how time passed and how this one almost completed. Really enjoyed doing it and felt happy after seeing the finished one. Hope u also like it.

I have done lot of small kids pencil sketch. But not much in water color.
It is always difficult to manage if you are not master in water color. And one wrong stroke damages the whole painting, it cant be corrected. Always I feel more challenging doing in water color. The skin I did little overwork. I cant bring that softness on baby face but somehow manage to complete it. Hoping for better one next time :)

I was doing some landscape painting practice these referring to one watercolor painting book. Doing landscapes is really tough for me. Whatever is I am doing its going worse. Might be it will take little longer time for me. So there is nothing to share with you. This painting I have done earlier, but not feeling like to share. I thought better to share something than nothing. :-)

This is my last post on last day of year 2011. It has been a good year for painting and learning.  I want to thank u all for all your supports, comments, encouragements throughout the year... This motivated me to do more and more paintings and sketching. I have learned quite a lot form other artists through this blogger. Wish this will continue in future and I will keep on learning and motivated to do more paintings and sketching.

 I have done this on the occasion of Kartika purnima festival. 

Kartik Purnima is a Hindu holy day celebrated on the full moon day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartika. 

Kartika is considered to be the holiest month of the Hindu calendar. Devotees celebrated the Boita Bandana ceremony (boat worshiping ceremony). The day signifies an age-old tradition that is observed in the memory of those ancestor sailors who left for distant lands from Odisha.
