Malala the brave girl

Watercolor on paper

" I said to my self,
Malala you must be brave,
you must not be afraid of anyone,
You are only trying to get education.
You are not committing crime"
~ Malala

Malala the bravest girl. I am reading the book "I am Malal" and I came to know more about her. She is such a brave and inspiring girl.

Here is the snap shot of the painting with my painting tools :-)

Phenomenal Woman

Title : Phenomenal Woman
Medium : Watercolor on paper
Size : 14x11 inches

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
      ~ Maya Angelou

This painting is inspired from poem "Phenomenal Woman" by Maya Angelou. I love her poems, they represents the hope, pride and confident of a woman.

Landscape: 1

Watercolor on paper
A4 Size paper

I have been always saying I am very bad in landscape painting but not working on that. So finally I started working on this seriously now. may be  :-). Before doing this painting I saw few online demos, read some books, about various techniques. Then I attempted this one. Actually I did few more paintings, which I didn't like n not fell like sharing.

I saw this house some time back while I was walking to my house. Lots of things around there. Its always confused what to include and what not to. This time I took some time to simplifying the painting. Tried not to include all the details. And I'm little happy with the result.
